Interview

Interview with Mr Dwi Suryanto,
Author of Transformational Leadership Book, Leadership Expert. Trainer. Business & Motivational Speaker.

1. What do you think about the high rate of unemployee in Indonesia?

First, it's because of the low rate of study and low rate of skill to survive in the 'real word'. For example, the informatics graduates need the certification. People who want to work in a company witchout the certification will hard to be accept by the company.
Second, people sheldom to increase their ability every day. So use your time to increase your ability.
Third, the growth of company is small, the govornment and enterpreneur should growth the company so, will there many job vacancy.
But the main course is in the first and second statement because the skill and knowledge which is right with the company vacancy. Because in the fact, the job vacancy is many but that can't be fill by the person who does'nt have skill and right knowledge.

2. According to your opinion, what is the main course must be change to decrease the rate of unemployee?

First, government must prepare the curiculum and programs of education which is focuses on skills, not on general sciences. The sciences are only concepts actually no application in the world of work.
Second, from the parents, parents should guide their children to have the ability which is needed in the world of work.
Third, from the person side, the person must improve their ability so their ability increasing every day and needed by the company.

3. This time, many people start their own business. Is this affect the rate of unemployee in Indonesia?

This time is gold times for us because the internet. With internet, we can start make a business by taking benefit from internet. Many american's bilyunner start his business by taking benefit from internet such as google.

4. According to yout opinion, it's better to work or make a business and have employee who work for us?

Better is to employ people, because when working on others, rules and salary determine by the person who employs us. But if we make a business and have employee, we set it all, we can determine the salary according to the situation of our company. And we can take the profit higher.

5. To decrease the rate of unemployee in Indonesia. Should us do the technique from other country?

Yes we need, because many lessons that we can adopt. Because we can more quickly advance if taking an idea from another country and we have to improve that idea.

6. According to your opinion, what can we do as the student to help decrease the rate of unemployee in Indonesia?

Perhaps students can not help directly, but by preparing sisiwa-students to learn the business. Began observing in the neighborhood, efforts are successful and that who bankrupt. We can observe, for example there are food stalls that used to exist now did not exist, and there is a small food stalls that used to be great now. From there we can observe there must be the excellce so it can be succes.

Then began to read the articles about how to earn money themselves and there is definitely a business idea. Because According to experts, our main capital is imagination. So not only financial capital but also the capital of the imagination. Because Facebook is imagination, google is imagination, etc.

SONG

Ibu - Iwan Fals

Ribuan kilo jalan yang kau tempuh
Lewati rintang untuk aku anakmu
Ibuku sayang masih terus berjalan
Walau tapak kaki, penuh darah... penuh nanah

Seperti udara... kasih yang engkau berikan
Tak mampu ku membalas...ibu...ibu

Ingin kudekat dan menangis di pangkuanmu
Sampai aku tertidur, bagai masa kecil dulu
Lalu doa-doa baluri sekujur tubuhku
Dengan apa membalas...ibu...ibu....

Seperti udara... kasih yang engkau berikan
Tak mampu ku membalas...ibu...ibu

Dung Beetle

A Dung beetle is a beetle whose larvae feed on dung. Here are some Dung Beetle facts that will assist you in understanding what Dung Beetles are.

Entomologists have recently discovered incredible feats of strength that beat the Rhinoceros beetles' previous record. You're probably thinking the strongest creature on earth is only a bug that fits in the palm of your hand? What about the largest living land mammal? You'd think something as massive as an elephant would be able to carry way more weight than a little insect. Yes, it's true. An elephant can carry a lot more weight than a dung beetle, but the definition of strength we're using here is one of proportional strength. A huge African elephant can only carry up to 25% of its own weight on its back. In a laboratory experiment, Rob Knell from Queen Mary, University of London and Leigh Simmons from the University of Western Australia found that the strongest Onthophagus taurus could pull 1,141 times its own body weight. That's equivalent to a person lifting close to 180,000 pounds (the same as six full double-decker buses).

Dung beetles live in many different habitats, including desert, farmland, forest, and grasslands. They do not prefer extremely cold or dry weather.
They are found on all continents except Antarctica.
Dung beetles eat dung excreted by herbivores and omnivores, and prefer that produced by the former. Many of them also feed on mushroomsand decayingleaves and fruits.
One type living in South America, Deltochilum valgum, is a carnivore preying upon millipedes. Those that eat dung do not need to eat or drink anything else, because the dung provides all the necessary nutrients.

Most dung beetles search for dung using their sensitive sense of smell. Some of the smaller species simply attach themselves to the dung-providers to wait for their reward.

After capturing the dung, a dung beetle will roll it, following a straight line despite all obstacles. Sometimes dung beetles will try to steal the dung ball off another beetle, so the dung beetles have to move rapidly away from a dung pile once they have rolled their ball to prevent it from being stolen.
Dung beetles can roll up to 50 times their weight. Male Onthophagus taurusbeetles can pull 1,141 times their own body weight: the equivalent of an average person pulling six double-decker buses full of people. In 2003, researchers found one species of dung beetle (the African Scarabaeus zambesianus) navigates by using polarization patterns in moonlight. The discovery is the first proof any animal can use polarized moonlight for orientation.
The “rollers” roll and bury a dung ball either for food storage or for making a brooding ball. In the latter case, two beetles, one male and one female, will be seen around the dung ball during the rolling process.

Usually it is the male that rolls the ball, with the female hitch-hiking or simply following behind. In some cases the male and the female roll together. When a spot with soft soil is found, they stop and bury the dung ball. They will then mate underground.
After the mating, both or one of them will prepare the brooding ball. When the ball is finished, the female lays eggs inside it, a form of mass provisioning. Some species do not leave after this stage, but remain to safeguard their offspring.

The dung beetle goes through a complete metamorphosis. The larvae live in brood balls made with dung prepared by their parents. During the larval stage, the beetle feeds on the dung surrounding it.
The behavior of the beetles was much misunderstood until the pioneering studies of Jean Henri Fabre. For example, Fabre corrected the myth that a dung beetle would seek aid from other dung beetles when confronted by obstacles. By painstaking observations and experiments, he found the seeming helpers were, in fact, robbers awaiting an opportunity to steal the roller’s food source:
“I ask myself in vain what Proudhon introduced into Scarabaean morality the daring paradox that “property means plunder”, or what diplomatist taught the Dung-beetle the savage maxim that “might is right”.

Door to Hell

The Door to Hell is a natural gas field in Derweze (also spelled Darvaze, meaning "gate"), Ahal Province, Turkmenistan. The Door to Hell is noted for its natural gas fire which has been burning continuously since it was lit by Soviet petroleum engineers in 1971. The fire is fed by the rich natural gas deposits in the area. The pungent smell of burning sulfur pervades the area for some distance.
The field is situated near the Derweze village. It is in the middle of the Karakum Desert, about 260 kilometres (160 mi) north of Ashgabat. The gas reserve found here is one of the largest in the world. The name "Door to Hell" was given to the field by the locals, referring to the fire, boiling mud, and orange flames in the large crater, which has a diameter of 70 metres (230 ft). The hot spots range over an area with a width of 60 metres (200 ft) and to a depth of about 20 metres (66 ft).

The site was identified by Soviet engineers in 1971. It was thought to be a substantial oil field site. The engineers set up a drilling rig and camp nearby, and started drilling operations to assess the quantity of gas reserve available at the site. As the Soviets were pleased with the success of finding the gas resources, they started storing the gas. The ground beneath the drilling rig and camp collapsed into a wide crater and disappeared. No lives were lost in the incident.
Fearing further release of poisonous gases from the cavern, the engineers decided to burn the gas off.MThey believed that it would be safer to burn it than to extract it from underground through expensive methods. At that time, expectations were that the gas would burn out within a few weeks, but has continued to burn more than four decades after it was set on fire.
The crater was featured in a Die Trying episode titled Crater of Fire. Explorer George Kourounis became the first person to ever set foot at the bottom, gathering samples of extremophile microorganisms. The episode was broadcast on the National Geographic Channel on July 16, 2014.
